Biei Shikisai no Oka

Hokkaido Biei’s Shikisai no Oka will blossom from late April to late October. Contemplate flowers such as tulips, pansies, poppies, goldfish grass, lupines and sunflowers bloom. July, August and September are the best time to see the whole hill dyed with bright colored stripes!

Shirogane Blue Pond

This man-made pond became blue by accident. Originally made for mudslides control, aluminium from nearby volcano slipped into the water, turning it blue! A must see only 20 minutes from the pension.

Local Hot Springs

Since Biei is quite close to the mountains, there are a lot of outdoor Hot Springs, that are about a 30 minutes away from the pension. It’s a great way to relax, relief your stress and share a moment with the people you value. You will be able to do all this while enjoying the beautiful sights of he mountain.

Shirahige Waterfalls

These 30-meter waterfalls are quite close to the Shirogane Blue Pond and share it’s color as well. This picture was taken from a mighty bridge spanning across the marvellous Biei river

Takushinkan

This place is a quiet photo gallery in Biei, founded by landscape photographer Shinzo Maeda.

Hinode Park

This park is a scenic hilltop park in Kamifurano, known for its lavender fields and panoramic views of the Tokachi mountain range.

In summer, the purple flower fields and open countryside make it one of the area’s classic landscape viewpoints.

Countryside

Between Biei and Furano is filled with rolling fields, patchwork farmland, and wide open skies.

In summer, the changing colors of crops and clouds create some of Hokkaido’s most peaceful rural landscapes.
